Sarah and Luke: UF Engagement Portraits

July 17, 2012
Sarah and Luke remind me of the old song "On the street where you live" from the musical My Fair Lady.
Well, because that is where they met while here in Gainesville, just a few doors down from each other. So of course that is where we ended their portrait session on the very street where they first met and began dating.

I hope every time you look at these images it brings back good memories of friends, fun and falling in love all over again.

Cheers,
Krystal

Yeah... this one is pretty much all Luke :)
Ahhhh, love that tasty late summer light.

Chrissy & Eike are busy planning their wedding in beautiful Islamorada next summer.. and in the meantime they took time out of their crazy schedules as ER doctors to do a simply lovely Engagement Portrait session in downtown Gainesville.

Without further ado... enjoy!

Lindsay & Todd: Saint Augustine, Florida Engagement Portraits

June 16, 2011
I love it when a couple goes for it with a beautiful palette of summer color!  The pink and rich turquoise perfectly suited Lindsay & Todd's engagement session in downtown Saint Augustine and beaches.  We also caught the last bit of golden light filtering through the trees to create some lovely glow in the foliage.

I'm so looking forward to their September wedding at the cute historic Trinity Episcopal Church and New Orleans style vintage digs at The White Room. Not only because they are both kind, and well honestly, pretty easy on the eyes, but because I get the chance to see the whole family again!  It's one of the nicest parts of my job really, being a historian for families and watching them change and grow over time. I expect to see babies now as kindergartners and new uncles and aunts chasing everyone around. And, if I recall, there was one particular saran-wrapping event at the last Richardson wedding that I still tell couples about to this day - and I now pack a swiss army knife on wedding days!

So what will be the story that I tell from this one? I hope it has to do with an awesome helicopter send-off or fashion shoot! Hey... you just never know!

Without further ado, please enjoy these peeks from your session!

Cheers,
Krystal

This is the cute church right in the downtown square where they will have the ceremony!
I love the details at Flagler College and the Lightner Museum.
One of my favorite shots of the day!
Just for fun!

Miss Squires is Getting Married

February 9, 2011
Brittany is just a tiny little bundle of energy and laughter! She is a full-time kindergarden teacher and is just bonkers for her fiance Mike. And he is tall, dark and handsome of course... did I mention tall... because he is TALL.
As a shorty myself it was so fun to photograph a couple that reminds me so much of Matt and myself. I too am the firecracker in the house and only about "5' nuthin" while Matt is the easy-going 6'2" fella that keeps me grounded and smiling.

So when I saw them hug and Brittany snuggle up against his chest, just the right height to hear his heartbeat and feel his arms wrap around you I simply had to smile and make a few images. I know that place, it's one of my favorite places in the whole world to be.

Here is to many-many years tucked in to that place together.  I look forward to photographing your wedding day at Jolie soon!

Cheers,
Krys

I call this one... Brittany & Mike: unleaded

Love those heels girl!

Shannon & Kyle: love under a tangerine tree

January 11, 2011
Shannon grew up just a few blocks from downtown Windermere, so it was natural that she wanted to have her session reflect the beauty and charm of the small Florida town. It also just happens to be right next to some of the most beautiful Florida sunsets I've ever had the pleasure to see.
Kyle and she even cuddled under a tangerine tree bursting with wintery ripe fruit.  I couldn't ask for a more Florida image than that, and I think it's one of my new favorite engagement images of all time.

You two were so cute thumbing through all the wonderfully cheesy romance novels to pick out your favorite titles.  I love Kyle's reaction as he actually started reading a paragraph from "Gypsy lover." Priceless.

We had a wonderful time with you both, and I'm so looking forward to your wedding this coming March at the Country Club of Orlando.

Cheers,
K
This one reminds me of the line from Zombieland "Uh, oh. Someone is in danger of getting their hair tucked behind their ear"
There really is nothing like a winter sunset in Florida.
