Brooke and Tom: A Colorado Garden Wedding
October 31, 2011 - Weddings
It's always just an honor to be asked by another photographer to shoot her wedding! No pressure, though. Not intimidating at all. *cough*
Thankfully, Brooke's about as easy-going a bride as you can imagine, and was beyond chill on her wedding day. Sometimes the stress of pulling off an amazing wedding distracts couples from simply enjoying the day, but not Brooke and Tom. It was so wonderful to see two people just completely relax, let go and have fun on their wedding day. Everyone had a blast driving downtown in a stretch limo for their first meeting on the steps of the courthouse (and thankfully we were prepared with the proper permits when the policeman showed up to, ah, "check on us"), and then we had plenty more time for beautiful portraits around the grounds at the Hudson Gardens in Littleton where Brooke and Tom had their ceremony and reception.
Since they're both musicians, music played a big part in their day. The trumpet fanfare for their entrance was a nice touch, and Tom and his friends surprised Brooke with a serenade! And good taste in music runs in the family...for the family dance Brooke's son Kaden chose "Eye of the Tiger." Excellent choice my friend.
Thank you again guys for having me at your wedding. I had a wonderful time, and I hope you love your images as much as we do!!

Melanie & David: A Jacksonville Beach Wedding
October 25, 2011 - Weddings
His parents have been married for 40 years, hers for 35.
So basically they both come from a long line of love. Which is why they knew they had each found "the one" after only a few dates!
Melanie says "EHarmony knew what they were doing! We clicked right away... it wasn't long before we realized we were meant to be."
In the past few years we have photographed several couples who met online at Match or EHarmony... my mom even met her husband Doug online! So cool.
As self-described geeks, I was just ticked to photograph more of "my people." And I knew when you told me you hired a balloon twister for the reception it was going to be my kind of party. At my own sister's wedding in June there were some balloon abominations floating around that made everyone laugh until they cried... something to do with the line from the movie Parenthood. "What's that?" "Your lower intestine!"
Yeah, your guy, waaaaay better!
But I still wish I'd seen David do the chicken dance, I hear good things.
Congratulations to you both. I hope you smile every time you look at your wedding images.
Making it legal yo.

Amber & Eric: A Southern Summer Thomas Center Wedding
October 4, 2011 - Weddings
She is the polly-pocket of brides! He is one of the smiliest kindest grooms I've ever met!
Together they are two tiny silly firecrackers that could light up an entire auditorium. Who else would choose hot pink and airplanes as a theme!? So cute.
Despite the melting southern summer heat you even managed to look comfy and enjoy the madness of a wedding day together.
And I hope these images light up your faces with smiles for years to come! Thank you for allowing me to be your photographer Amber & Eric, it has been a great pleasure getting to know you and your story.
Their lucky two dollar bill (of course folded into an airplane)!
An homage to Eric's Airforce service :)
Hot pink mimosas!? Yes please.
Busted! One adorable little cake goblin.
