Jesse and Forest
December 29, 2011 - Weddings
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone! I'm so happy to get to share these pictures of Jesse and Forest's lovely wedding at the Thomas Center in Gainesville, Florida.
Jesse and Forest's sweet and kind friends and family and their relaxed attitudes made their wedding a joy to shoot. When I look at their images, I can feel the wonderful emotions they felt that day pouring from every shot. I was going to use the word "oozing" or "dripping" but I didn't think those would be the best words to describe wedding photos :)
Instead I'll let Jesse and Forest tell you the story of their wedding in their own words:
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Forest: Going to see him for the "first look" when he saw me for the first time in my dress. I had worked so hard on designing my dream wedding dress so it was really exciting and emotional for me to have him finally get to see me in it!
Jesse: The moment I saw her start to walk down the steps with the wedding march playing, surrounded by friends and family. I couldn't do anything but cry tears of happiness and smile ear-to-ear. The best moment of my life, by far!
(Side note from Matt): Be sure to check out the images of Forest in her gown below. I was stunned she designed that herself...that's vision. OH AND THE SHOES. Girl needs a career in fashion.
What advice do you have for couples planning their wedding day?
Jesse and Forest: Plan ahead for the timeline for the wedding day and add on more time then you think you need for the "getting ready" time. It takes longer then you think. And the day of the wedding try not to stress too much, it's hard not to and little things will not go as planned but no one but you will notice... so don't worry about it!
Are there any tips you can give other couples on how to get great photos on their wedding day?
Jesse and Forest: My favorite pictures were the romantic portraits together so I think if anything I would recommend planning extra time for those kind of photos! Also the time of day you have the wedding/ when you are taking your photos will give you completely different lighting, I'm really glad we had our ceremony right before sunset so we got some great shots with the light from the sunset.
Without further ado, Jesse and Forest's lovely wedding!
Krystal nearly wept when she saw the photo of these heels!
Forest's grandma gives her a family heirloom ring to wear on her wedding day.
This is Krystal's favorite photo of the wedding day. "It's not just a beautiful moment but very symbolic as Forest goes to meet Jesse for the first time on her wedding day and leaves with the support of those who love her."
Seeing Jesse for the first time!
The ring runner!
A new ring and an old ring.
Cake-stached!!
Also, special thanks to all the lovely vendors who made this day possible:
Florist: The Flower Shop
Caterer: Chef Brothers
Entertainment: Jay's Entertainment
All the best,
Matt
